ON CARE FOR OUR
COMMON HOME

The urgent challenge to protect our common home includes a concern to bring the whole human family together to seek a sustainable and integral development, for we know that things can change. The Creator does not abandon us; he never forsakes his loving plan or repents of having created us. Humanity still has the ability to work together in building our common home.

About

The Diocese of Hamilton welcomes you and invites you to engage on every level with the Holy Father’s encyclical Laudato Si’. Most importantly, this platform is meant to invite visitors to understand the important messages of Laudato Si’, and use them to invoke change in their communities.

As we celebrate the 5th anniversary of Laudato Si’ and reflect on the state of our world, we must come together, offer education, engagement and hope that as a human family, change is possible. It begins with an unwavering commitment to create a cultural shift, a conversion built on the principle that we are all connected and must treat creation as the precious gift that it is.

Pope Francis invites you to celebrate Laudato si' week.
